Don’t let the name fool you—these salmon patties are not only easy to make, but they’re also easy to eat. Most importantly, they're protein rich! I love them as a quick meal, either served on it's own or on top of a salad with dressing.

Ingredient Checklist

  • 1 (14.75 ounce) can canned salmon

  • 1 egg

  • ¼ cup chopped onion

  • ½ cup seasoned dry bread crumbs

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Steps

  1. Drain the liquid from the salmon. Removing the skin and bones are optional. I personally leave it in since the bones are easy to mash and packed in calcium.

  2. Add egg, onion, bread crumbs, then mix.

  3. Form them into patties. You can use the liquid that you drained earlier if it's too dry.

  4. Heat your pan and add some olive oil. Add the patties and cook for 3 minutes or until golden brown.

  5. Drain on a paper towel and serve!
